“We laugh, we cry, we going to continue to fight.” Array has revealed an official trailer for the documentary film called For Our Children, made by filmmaker Débora Souza Silva. This premiered a few years ago at the 2022 San Francisco Film Festival under the original title Black Mothers Love & Resist, and soon will be released streaming on Netflix worldwide starting in May this summer (with the new title For Our Children). Reverend Wanda Johnson & Angela Williams, two mothers of young Black men victimized by police brutality, come together and build a network of community-led support, mutual aid, and healing. Directed, produced, co-written by Débora Souza Silva, this emotional documentary feature chronicles the powerful convergence of two mothers whose lives were forever altered by the scourge of police brutality against young Black men.
